Does Easter Make a Difference?
Easter has often been described as "just" another commercialized holiday. This is the view of many people and sadly, this may be keeping them from understanding the true meaning of the celebration of the resurrection. This sermon is based on Luke 24: 1-12 and examines how Easter has to make a difference in our lives if we truly take the message of the empty tomb seriously.

A New Generation- Sunday Sermon March 25, 2012
Moses' successor Joshua was a great leader for the nation of Israel. As long as he lived, the people stayed loyal to God and were blessed by Him. After Joshua and his generation died, the new generation failed to follow God and suffered the consequences.
Although Joshua had great personal success, he failed in the task of communicating the truths of God to those that came after him. Let us pray that we not have the same thing happen to our nation as we see a generation arise that "does not know the Lord.
The scripture for today's message is Judges 2: 6-19. May you be blessed by this sharing of God's Word.

"In Times Like These" Sunday Sermon March 18, 2012
We shared the old gospel hymn, "In Times Like These" as our offertory hymn and as an introduction to our topic for today. It makes the point that no matter what comes our way, we need a Savior. In the perilous times of today, we find that signs of the end-times are becoming more and more evident. As believers, we must watch and pray that these traits do not slip into our lives. May you be blessed as you listen to today's sermon from 2 Timothy 3:1-9.

Pump Out the Septic Tank (click here to listen)
When problems arise in our life and in our church we need to consider the underlying cause of the problem and take care of it. Like having a sewage problem in our home we can't ignore things and just step around the overflow. We might pump out the septic tank and stop the trouble for a time but after a while we need to go out to the drainage field and dig out the roots that are blocking the flow.
May you be richly blessed as you hear and apply God's truths to your life.

The Price of Peace
I've been back in the pulpit for four weeks now after taking a short leave of absence when my wife Cheryl was in the final weeks of her fight with ovarian cancer. She stepped across into glory on January 11th and I have had to adjust to life as a widower.
This week's sermon discusses how costly it was for Christ to pay for our peace with God. The war is over but we will still have our skirmishes with the flesh. Our text is found in Romans 5: 1-8.
May you be richly blessed as you listen to this application of God's Word.

Celebrate Christ - Sunday Sermon December 25, 2011
Today's message is a call for believers to not just celebrate the holiday of Christmas but rather to focus on and celebrate our Lord and Savior. We Celebrate Christ because He is God's perfect gift to mankind. Our scripture is found in Luke 2:1-20.
I pray that you will let Jesus will be your Savior and Lord as you make preparations to begin the new year.
